  1.                   INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING ICES

  4.   In  this  course  you  will  be  working with a computer system 
  5. called the "Interactive Computer Examination  Manager"  or  ICES.
  6. It  will  prepare  and print all your homework assignments and it 
  7. will also grade them for you.  It will do many  other  things  to
  8. help you master the materials in this course, so please take good
  9. advantage of all the options that ICES makes available to you.
  10.  
  11.   You  will  find  that the ICES program is very easy to use, and 
  12. the following are the step-by-step  instructions  that  you  will
  13. need in order to use the computer system.

  16. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE ON A DUAL FLOPPY DRIVE SYSTEM
  17.  
  18.   1. Go to the 'lab' and check out a copy of the ICES DISK.
  19.  
  20.   2. Insert the ICES DISK in Drive A of the computer.
  21.  
  22.   3. Insert your data disk in Drive B of the computer.
  23.  
  24.   4. Turn on the computer (if the computer is already on, reboot
  25.      it by holding down the 'Ctrl' and 'Alt' keys and then tap
  26.      the 'Del' key.

  29. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE ON A HARD DRIVE SYSTEM
  30.  
  31.   1. Turn on the computer and when it gives you the cursor, issue
  32.      the  command, CD\ICES <cr>.  If the computer is already on,
  33.      issue the command, CD\ICES <cr>.
  34.  
  35.   2. Insert your data disk in Drive A of the computer.

  37.   3. Issue the command, ICES <cr>.
